About Old Paths
Old Paths Bible Baptist Church is a church that is slightly different in this day and age from the operation of other churches. Our ministry operates with a non-age segregated outlook in our various ministries. We have done this in answer to the many children who have been raised in Christian homes and churches and are leaving the homes and churches. So, instead of a segregated Sunday School time, we have what we call "Family School" - a time when all the family sits together under the teaching of Pastor Folk in learning and reviewing the lessons that were gone over as a family during the week. It is not a class targeted at just one group of people, but encourages involvment from people of all ages and understanding. If you want to see the lessons that we use in our Family School, you can download some of our lessons from our Materials page.
Another area where we practice our family-centered focus is in our various outreach ministries. We hold services in over a dozen nursing homes every week. The people that head these nursing home ministries up are families working together to bring church to those that cannot get out to church. We also take part in Rescue Mission ministries, again as families. As a church, we take many evangelistic trips all over the country and world. We do our best to have family members on these trips together, as opposed to one age group or another. We also have started a ministry called "ASSIST" (Able Sons Sacrificing In Service Together) which operates as a father-son ministry. We have weekly sessions to help increase the young men's physical, spiritual, and practical abilities. We then go out in helping our various events in the community in an effort to put these skills to work. This, and the others, are just some of the ministries that we attempt to do as a family.

History of Old Paths
OPBBC was started in the summer of 1993 through a door-to-door ministry in the community of Charlotte. After months of visitation and Bible Studies, we started our first Sunday service on December 5, 1994. We started with 6 families (40 people) in a rented church in Charlotte. After years of ministry in that town, we had grown to the point where we had to find a new building. Through the Lord's direction of our pastors, we started out building a church in the town of Clarendon. The entire church (with the exception of the cement pad) was built with the hands of the membership of our church. After eight months of work, we had our first service in the building on November 5, 2000. This is the building that our church currently occupies. We have grown to around 500 people since we started, by the grace of God.
